Was sent used/repackaged and non-functional product Nov 17, 2008 The trainer I was sent was non-functional and had probably been returned by someone before me because the components didn't align well when assembled according to instructions. Amazon refunded the purchase amount and arranged pickup so no complaints there. However I spent more than two hours assembling it with great care before it turned out that the previous owner also had the same issue with the alignment (extensive scratch marks on the body exactly where the problem was). I hope they don't resend the same trainer to anyone else.

Remember.. Oct 26, 2008 You get what you pay for. This elliptical lasted for about two years before it broke. I rode it just about every day for 30 +/- minutes. I really had a hard time aligning the main column so that the left/right steps function correctly. I will buy another elliptical but plan to upgrade.

good product Oct 02, 2008 This trainer is great. Though it produces some squeaky sound, overall I'm happy with this product.

Eclipse 1100 HR/A Eliptical Trainer Sep 22, 2008 I have owned my elliptical trainer for two weeks now and am thrilled with it. Easy to put together and use. I am a beginner with this at the age of 61 after have a major heart attack a year ago and having to have a pacemaker installed I was a little afraid of this machine. Now I am exercising for an hour every day and am up to 14 miles a day. I feel fantastic and love the silence of the machine even after the use that I have put the machine through. I highly recomend this product to the beginner and the advanced. I am not working so joining a gym is out of the question. This is the closest I have come to a real gym workout.

Fantastic product Sep 11, 2008 I have been using my machine for 2 months now, and absolutely love it. I get a better cardio & muscle building workout than with walking or bike-riding or stair-climbing. I push myself, so it's like jogging without hurting my knees or feet. It is definitely great for body shaping and fat-burning, and it will make you sweat!
It is SO QUIET that I can watch TV or play music while I workout, and have no trouble hearing either one.
If you go forward, it works your quads and calves really hard. If you go backward, you can concentrate on working your butt and thighs, as well as getting better resistance to your arms. The book shows you some different stances that will help you vary your workout. I am 5'9" and think that the stride length is just fine. I am not into taking big, long strides, because I am focusing my efforts on my butt and thighs. The foot platforms are comfortably placed and not too far apart... there is NO stress on my hips or joints at all.
This is a solidly built machine, has quality/well-fitted parts; was very easy to put together. It is compact, and takes up little space. It is very stable, not too heavy, and has wheels on the front so you can tip it and wheel it into place or out of the way. The ac adaptor plugs in at the bottom back of the machine, making it very convenient to plug into the wall. The electronic panel is versatile, allowing you to create your own program if you don't like the ones it comes with; easy to read, too.
I highly recommend this elliptical trainer. I just love it!
The first machine that arrived was damaged in shipping. Had to take it apart and send it back. Amazon and the manufacturer were GREAT! Outstanding customer service! Got my replacement machine VERY quickly, and it arrived in perfect condition.
